In Times World University Rankings 2022, three top Indian universities have secured their positions in the top 400 universities across the world, which includes IISc Bangalore, Indian Institute of Technology Ropar, and JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research, Mysuru.
As per the Times World University Rankings 2022, a total of 71 Indian Universities have secured their positions, while last year, only 63 universities were ranked. IISc Bangalore has secured its position in the 301-350 band, while IIT Ropar is in the 351-400 cohort as last year.
Additionally, JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research, a Mysuru-based private university has achieved its first-time rankings in Times Higher Education 2022. The university has made it to the top 400.
Talking about rankings, Phil Baty, Chief Knowledge Officer at THE added, “We are already seeing clear disruption to the established norms from mainland China, and record highs for Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and Hong Kong show that Asia is continuing to benefit from the focus and investment in higher education across the continent”.

Times World University Rankings 2022: Key Highlights
As per the Times World University Rankings 2022, the first rank is secured by the University of Oxford, and the California Institute of Technology is offered with the second rank. Rank third and fourth has been secured by Harvard University and Stanford University respectively.

From across the globe, the University of California Berkeley is placed at seven ranks, while Yale University and the University of Chicago have secured their positions in rank 9th and 10th respectively.
