New Delhi: Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), also known as UniPune has collaborated with a Delhi-based organisation, Select Your University Online Digital Education Foundation to offer free guidance to students about language courses like GRE, TOEFL, and IELTS.
Under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the International Centre of Unipune will provide guidance to its students who wish to study abroad. The opportunity will be offered to selected candidates by providing courses under the agreement.
Talking about this initiative, SPPU Vice-Chancellor Dr. Nitin Karmalkar said, “Many students want to study abroad. But they do not know much about visas, studying abroad, and so on, so we are trying to help students who are unable to find their way through this agreement".
Vijay Khare, Director of the International Centre stated that under this collaboration, students will not only be taught the English language to clear the IELTS or TOEFL tests but will receive expert guidance and counselling sessions.
To apply for higher education in many countries, students are required to qualify for the GRE (Graduate Record Examination), TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language), and IELTS (International English Language Testing System).
The MoU between Unipune and Select Your University Online Digital Education Foundation was signed by the varsity’s Vice-Chancellor Dr. Nitin Karmalkar and Pro-Vice-Chancellor NS Umrani.
Additionally, Registrar Dr. Praful Pawar, Director of the International Centre Vijay Khare, Senators Prasenjit Fadnavis, Girish Bhawalkar, and Sandeep Singh, Director of the Foundation were also present on the occasion.
Nitin Karmalkar, Vice-chancellor of SPPU informed that many students of the university are not able to fulfil their dreams of pursuing higher education abroad due to a lack of information regarding the admission process, visa process, universities abroad, etc.
With this initiative, the SPPU is trying to help students be better informed and ready to apply for higher education in universities and institutes. This will also prepare students for various qualifying examinations required for the admission process.
Meanwhile, admissions are open for International students at Unipune for the 2022-23 academic year. Interested candidates can apply for all UG, PG courses offered by the International Centre of SPPU. The last date to submit an online application is June 30, 2022.
