University of Mysore (UoM) has joined hands with JobKart India, an online placement platform, to facilitate employment and pre-placement training opportunities for its students.
During the announcement of this collaboration, Vice-chancellor of UOM Hemantha Kumar informed that the Students can start posting their profiles on the website or mobile app of Jobkart India. The platform will then coordinate with Industries and companies to provide students with pre-placement training opportunities.
He further informed that the facility was open for all final year and pre-final year students of undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered by the varsity and its affiliated colleges. He also said that an estimate of 35,000 students will get benefited from this opportunity.

R.Shivappa, the registrar of UOM informed that to get the benefits of this initiative, students should download the Jobkart app to build their digital resumes. He further said that the students who don't possess a smartphone can visit the website https://jobkartindia.in/. The resumes of students will be further shared with industries and the shortlisted candidates will become a part of the Online Interview Round.
The registrar said that due to the ongoing covid-19 pandemic, the students and their parents have both been very concerned about their future and career. Thus, these online placements will help the students to get out of all their concerns and will be a great opportunity for learning for them.
The CEO of Jobkart India thanked the university for giving them the opportunity to work for the students of UoM . He also said that students can also store their video profile, scanned copies of their degrees, certificates & other documents. The interviews given by the students can also be archived, he informed.
