University of Queensland & IIT Delhi to Offer Joint PhD Program

New Delhi: University of Queensland, Australia and IIT Delhi have collaborated to offer a joint Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program in a Multi-disciplinary area. The admission process for this joint PhD program is now open for July 2023 session for all interested and eligible candidates.

As per IIT Delhi, Indian candidates who wish to apply for PhD programs in Arts, Science, Technology and Medical discipline can submit their applications through the official website at uqidar.org. The last date to apply for the admission process is March 15, 2023. 

To apply for University of Queensland and IIT Delhi Joint PhD Program, aspirants need to have a master’s degree with a minimum of 65% marks. Those who do not meet the requirements will not be considered for admission seats.

The official website reads, "Through the UQIDAR joint-PhD program, you can receive a scholarship to study at two world-leading, research-intensive institutions – The University of Queensland (UQ) and the Indian Institute of Technology (IITD) – on multidisciplinary projects”.

“Indian nationals and international applicants (with citizenship other than Australia), will be considered for admission as i-students. i-students will spend their first year of study at IITD before completing one year (or more) at UQ”, it reads.
