UP College Students Volunteer to Promote One District One Product Scheme; check details here


The students of technical and management colleges in Uttar Pradesh have taken the initiative to help improve the performance of One District One Product scheme.

The Aligarh’s lock assimilation technology, Kannauj perfumes and Bhadohi carpets will be under the priority list of the students.

The Department of Micro and Small industries, the government of Uttar Pradesh will be organizing a Hackathon program in association with Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University - [AKTU], Lucknow by the end of November 2020. 

The program will connect all the engineering students together to help the ODOP scheme. More than 250 affiliated institutes and 14 nodal engineering colleges will be participating in the program.

Students will be asked to give their opinion on how to give better performance and management of products. The program aims to create an international identity for the ODOP Products.

Prof. Vijay Pathak says that involving students' suggestions will be a great idea and the ODOP products will have flawless recognition in the market.

Yogi Adiyanath has introduced the ODOP flagship scheme for the purpose of self reliance in the state. The scheme aims to manufacture the products which have recognition in the nation as well as overseas.The products will be manufactured inside the state only.
