As per the opinion of a VTU student, “It is true that SSLC and PU students wrote their exams in the offline mode during the pandemic. However, the situation now is more severe now.

Even if we are given a chance to write the exam during the next semester, there is no guarantee that the pandemic will subside by then and it will only add to more number of papers (including the next semester papers).”

Earlier, VTU had announced to conduct offline exams by the end of September and provide additional choice for questions as classroom instructions were incomplete.

After an online interaction with the University’s VCU, K Karisidappa, students questioned, “How can the VC ask students from outside the state and country to start their journey to Karnataka, be put in quarantine and write exams?”

VTU officials are yet to release an official statement on conducting online exams.as of now, the guidelines state that in case students fail in any exam, they can carry forward it to next semester.

However, they need to clear those papers in the following consecutive odd or even semesters to gain eligibility.
