The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has cancelled the Joint entrance exam for lateral entry in B.Tech (JELET 2020) and the Joint Examination for Masters in Computer Applications (JECA 2020) due to the current COVID 19 situation.
JELET 2020 is a state level entrance examination conducted to provide admission in the 2nd year of four year degree course in Engineering/ Technology/ Pharmacy.
As the JELET 2020 and JECA 2020 are canceled, the admission to MCA and lateral entry of B.Tech, BE, and B.Pharm courses will be based on the candidate's score in the previous qualifying examination.

JELET 2020 Admission
The JELET Counselling 2020 will be conducted by the authority for the previously registered candidates through centralized online counselling mode.
Admission in JELET Counselling 2020 will be provided based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the following examination.
- Diploma in relevant field
- Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in the relevant stream

JECA 2020 Admission
Candidates who have previously registered for the JECA 2020 examination will be eligible for the counselling process for admission in the Master of Computer Applications (MCA) course.
Admission in JECA Counselling 2020 will be provided based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the following examination.
- Bachelor of Engineering (B.Sc)
- Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech)
- Bachelor of Science (B.Sc)
- Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com)
- Bachelor of Arts (B.A), or any other equivalent degree exams
The official notification for the online counselling process for JELET 2020 and JECA 2020 will be issued by the WBJEEB authorities later
The counselling schedule will be announced on the official website and candidates need to proceed according to that.
