There are no specific reasons as such for the high course fees of NUJS. NUJS Kolkata charges INR 11.49 lakhs for a BALLB (Hons) degree. But people usually don’t question it. Also, most students who attend NUJS can afford the fees. There are a good number of NRIs in each batch. Students from SC, ST categories have many scholarship options to fund their degrees.

Also, NUJS offers great recruitment opportunities. Students from NUJS Kolkata received the highest CTC of INR 22 LPA during the 2021 placement drive. This is also one of the reasons why people don’t question the high course fee.

Having to know some people from both these institutions, According to them the fee of NUJ’s is very high compared to NLSIU and NALSAR.

  • The main reason for this is that the parents haven’t raised their voice and asked the management to cut some slack on the fee.
  • There have been no questions asked regarding the reasons for the high fee.
  • The batches mainly comprise NRI candidates.
  • They are present in huge numbers and since them being NRI’s face no financial crisis.
  • SC, ST students, and students who are admitted through quota get various merit-based or non-merit-based scholarships from the institute thanks to the government.

Students from mostly the upper middle class or the upper class occupy the general seats. Lower middle-class general category students also get relaxation in their fees in the form of scholarships. The minority group present doesn’t raise concerns about being less in number and because ultimately they are sure of good chances of recruitment after graduation.
