B.A Computer Science & French, Florida State University (2021)

Florida State University is ranked well for its programs so you’re good to go with it. It has also seen a significant increase in the number of students recently in their Computer Science program which means you’re not wrong to go for it.

Research-wise too the standards are pretty good and it is one of the highly funded universities, so if you’re going to pursue research later then it's a great place for your field. There is much research in collaboration with industrial giants as well as the US government which is another good reason to go for it.

The faculty of Computer science is also very experienced, one of the best professors being Mike Burmester in the field of Security. There have also been many new additions to their faculty recently all with excellent credits to their names.

If you’re interested in Cyber-security then know their department focuses quite a lot on Cyber-security and hence offers many courses in the area of Cyber Security. The job prospects are pretty amazing for this course as well, following being the most popular:

  • Computer Scientist/Engineer: 70,590 USD
  • Systems Analyst: 59,180 USD
  • Computer Programmer: 50,590 USD

Here are some of the program’s highlights:

However, there may be some drawbacks because of its location which does not offer as many internships. Those that are available are limited and you need to beat a lot of competition to get them. It would depend upon you if you are ready to move to a place with more opportunities after studying here.
