With the launch of the multi-ministry Singapore Green Plan 2030, the sustainable development and climate action agenda has gained importance as a national priority, furthering Singapore’s commitments under the UN’s 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda and Paris Agreement. As a responsible member of the global community and as Singapore’s flagship university, the National University of Singapore is committed to take responsibility for our environmental footprint and develop a climate resilient and resource efficient campus for the future.

At NUS, we infuse sustainability into our education. Our general education requirements and common curriculum instil the critical thinking and sense-making competencies needed to understand the complex trade-offs between environmental, social and economic concerns. Our students become familiar with the latest scientific and technological possibilities to mitigate the effects of climate change.

NUS offers a variety of Master's programmes on sustainability and climate change. Whether you are keen to adopt a scientific and technical approach; take a deep dive into the business, design or social science aspects of sustainability; or view sustainability through a multidisciplinary lens, we welcome all prospective students seeking to build their expertise in this area.
