Master of Education [M.Ed] From Kannur University, Kannur

Kannur University M.Ed Admissions 2023 are open now. Admission to the program will be based on the entrance test and interview conducted by the University. M.Ed. Programmes are not included in the Centralized Allotment Process (CAP). The candidates who wish to apply for these Programmes shall apply directly to the Department concerned as and when the university invites applications. Kannur University is one of the largest universities in Kerala. It offers various courses in the fields of arts, commerce, science and management. It is well spread in three district namely, Kannur, Kasaragod and Wayanad.

Kannur university offers Master of Education to candidates with a B.Ed. degree. There are 50 seats in total that are available for admission each year. Admission notification comes out in the month of May, every year. Kannur University M.Ed Eligibility Criteria

B. Ed. Degree from a recognized university with not less than 50% marks. Relaxation in marks will be given to SEBC/OBC/OEC and SC/ST candidates as per the University Admission Rules for Master’s Degree Course.

4 year integrated teacher education degree program (B.EI.Ed/ B.Sc.Ed/ B.A.Ed.) recognized by Kannur University.

                                                                                      OR

D.El.Ed/ D.Ed. with a bachelor’s degree (B.A/B.Sc./B.Com, etc.) recognized by Kannur University.

Note: In case of integrated degree programs- B.Sc. (B.Ed.)/ B.A. (B.Ed.) aggregate marks/grade in Education papers alone will be considered)

Kannur University M.Ed Reservation Criteria

Reservation rules specifically applicable for SC/ST/OBC/OEC and Physically Handicapped candidates for admission to various courses of studies in the University Teaching Departments will be applicable for M.Ed. (Regular) course also.

Kannur University M.Ed Selection Procedure

You will be selected on the basis of your performance in the entrance test conducted by the university. The entrance test shall be followed by an interview, ultimately leading to securing your seat in the university.

• Entrance Examination conducted by the University: 50% of Entrance Exam. (Objective type items only)
• Qualifying Degree (B.Ed.) – Minimum required percentage – 40%
• B.Ed. Degree from Kannur University will result in extra 5 marks to the overall score
• Teaching Service (recognized teaching service in Govt. / Private aided Schools): 1 mark for each completed year subject to a maximum of 5 marks
• The M.Ed. Entrance Examination will be of 100 marks for 1½ hours duration consists of objective type of question
• The question paper will be based on the syllabus of the General Papers at the B.Ed. level

• Visit the official admission portal of Kunnur University i.e. admission.kannuruniversity.ac.in.
• Now Choose UG Admissions/ PG Admissions.
• Choose the “Apply Now/ Login” option under the previously selected admission category.
• Click on the Apply Now link in the respective program.
• Register yourself using valid details and get your Application Number.
• Login Using Application No. and the set password.
• Fill out the form by entering personal details, qualifications, etc.
• Upload Photo, Signature.
• Pay the Registration fees by SBI Epay.
• Submit the Application.
• Take the printout of the Application form.

• Print out of registration fee remitted by the candidate online.
• Secondary School Leaving Certificate.
• Mark Lists of qualifying Degree examinations.
• Transfer Certificate and Conduct Certificate.
• Nativity, Non-creamy layer, and Community Certificate for those who claim weightage or reservation benefit.
• Any other certificates from the competent authorities for the claim of admission under any specific quota that is Sports/ NCC/ Differently Abled Persons (PWBD)/ Linguistic Minority/ Defence personnel etc. if applicable.
• Certificates proving EWS category.
• Any other relevant certificate for any claim made in the application.
