Eligibility Criteria

A candidate seeking admission to the Ph.D. Programme must satisfy the following eligibility requirements as per UGC norms:

  1. A Master's degree from a recognized Indian University or any other equivalent degree to the satisfaction of the Academic senate of the University, in the relevant field, with not less than 55% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system.
  2. A relaxation of 5% of marks to SC/ ST /OBC /Differently-Abled and such other categories as per the decision of the Central and State Government.

Admission Guidelines

Selection Criteria: An applicant will be shortlisted for interview on the basis of his/her score in The Research Entrance Aptitude Test (TREAT). The final selection for admission in Ph.D will be based on the candidate’s performance in the interview subject to scoring minimum marks.

Exemption from Entrance Test: Candidate shall have qualified in the NET / SLET / SET examination or have M.Phil. Degree in the concerned subject from UGC recognized University are exempted from the entrance test (TREAT) and directly appear in the Interview.
