My life at California Institute of Technology

My sister who lived in the USA had suggested me to take admission in this college. An online application form was submitted by me with an application fee $75 to get admission. They even asked me to show my undergraduate mark-sheet where I got 9.5 GPA.

Course Curriculum :

I was taught to analyse problems and develop a solution accordingly. My course was rigorous and covered every aspect of the program. My curriculum included subjects such as Electro-magnetism, Control systems, Electricity Technology and Machines, Circuit Analysis, Electronics.

Exams :

I had done electrical engineering in my under-graduation and wanted to have a specialization. I had to submit my score of 1150 in SAT and 6.6 in a TOEFL exam in order to get admission. I even provided A letter of recommendation, official transcripts and a government-approved ID.

Placement :

All the placements activities were provided through the placement cell of the college as well as alumni network. Almost 85% of students from my class got the offer letter of various companies such as Bosch, Compton grieves, Morphy Richards with the pay package of $75,000.

Events :

Events were the main highlight of the college. I enjoyed various events like seminars, drama competition, Halloween party, alumni meet. With these events, I even came closer to the faculty.

Fees :

The tuition cost I paid was $52,000 plus a fee of $2000 was also charged form me. Other than this my books supplied and miscellaneous expenses got close to $1200 and $1800. Thankfully I received the financial aid of $10,000 which I had applied during the process of admission.

Faculty :

Most of the professors were very well experience and had vast knowledge. Class size was very small and every student used to get equal attention. Professors used to make sure sure the sessions are interactive plus importance was also given to student interaction.

Hostel :

My parents wanted me to take campus residence. I used to stay in double sharing room for which I used to pay $10,000 for my room board plus I also paid $7000 for my dining plan. Many of my friends lived in the shared apartment and paid $8500 for it
