International student advice - University of Wollongong

UI
6.3 /10

It was pure luck that I found this university while searching a good institute for me to continue my higher studies and at that time I found this university and got really impressed by it's lab facilities and research program.

Course Curriculum :

I am PhD student so not sure about coursework or course curriculum. However, PhD assessments are fairly competitive to work with.

Exams :

PhD admission requirements mainly require consent from potential supervisor and atleast 18 year of education if you are an international student (please check on university website for specific details). Usually, IELTS or TOEFL is required for non-English international students.

Placement :

Not very impressed with placement process. It is very competitive to get a professional job after degree. Developing the key industrial skills during degree is key to get hired.

Internship :

NA

Events :

Campus life is interesting, friendly environment. It is relatively easier to get adjusted because of international community. Multiple activities and club cultures exist for those who want to participate.

Fees :

20,000 AUD for one semester

Scholarship :

Yes, i received tuition fee scholarship from university for four years. It covers tuition fee of around 20,000 AUD.

Hostel :

I live in a private accomodation. It is bit on the expensive end but comes with privacy and independence.
