Excelling in Careers at The University of Western Australia

NK
8.2 /10

I am enrolled at the University of Western Australia, Perth for a few reasons. Firstly, it is highly ranked (92 globally as per QS Ranking, 2021) and also a part of the prestigious group of 8 universities. Secondly, Perth is a fast-growing city with great potential, learning from this potential will be a great experience. The course structure at UWA covers all aspects of my major and UWA graduates consistently higher than the national average starting salary and state graduate employment rates. The admission process at UWA was also fair and simple. I comfortably meet the admission criteria. Perth also offers a high standard of living. It offers students a 40% discount on all public transport facilities and also enjoys a low crime rate.

Course Curriculum :

I am doing a very practical course and it involves a lot of site visits, studio sessions, drafting, sketching etc. I am very impressed with the way the university has planned my curriculum for each week and for each class. I am very impressed with the way it works.

Exams :

The university requires official high school transcripts with a minimum GPA of 3.0. English language proficiency test score. ATAR score, wherever applicable. The overall average ATAR score is 91.7 and the overall ATAR dropout percentage is 95.5. My CBSE result was 98.25% and my IELTS score was 7.5 band overall. I was also offered an Academic Excellence Scholarship of $45,000 for the duration of my course.

Placement :

Architects are the best jobs today. They create new innovations every day using their skills and creations which help in the advancement of not only society but the whole world. I am looking forward to a world-standard and interdisciplinary education in a multicultural city. My academic background and professional inclination have laid a strong foundation for my pursuit of higher education. I am sure that an education at the University of Western Australia will translate into a career in India and lay a strong foundation for my career path.

Internship :

No, I didn't get an internship.

Events :

I haven't been there yet due to travel restrictions but from what I've seen it online. It looks super fine and beautiful. Can't wait to answer this question in more detail once I get there.

Fees :

My total tuition fee excluding my scholarship is $106,611.

Scholarship :

I got the "Global Excellence Award" scholarship for my class 12 results. Which amounted to $15,000 each year which makes a total of $45,000.

Faculty :

The faculty is what I expected. The coordinators are super friendly and always there to help. Staff, Administration Department, Officers, Guild, and all other departments are always helping me in some way or the other.

Hostel :

I am living there with my family so I have very little knowledge about it.
