There are several reasons behind accepting the offer. Firstly, the location that is gold coast such an exquisite place having pleasant weather all over the year. Secondly, GC is the tourist place so getting a job will be a bit easier in comparison to other states. Lastly, Griffith university was famous for the course which I am pursuing and it is the most important reason among all.
Course Curriculum :
Due to pandemic I completed by 1st year online but the way they were teaching was pretty fascinating didn't look like its online lectures . . Assignments were all like that you are working in a company. Unlike the Indian education system, the Australian education system was totally different. Here the majority of the knowledge you gained from doing assignments and all knowledge you gain is new and latest.
Exams :
For getting admission in any Australian university they accept IELTS, TOEFL and PTEand minimum score they ask for is in Ielts 6.5; TOEFL -575; PTE-58 and IBT TOEFL -79 . as well as the requirement of GPA 4.0 out of 7.0 in Bachelors. I gave the IELTS exam in which I scored listening - 8,speaking-7 writing -6.5 and reading also it was 6.5 and overall it was a perfect 7.
Placement :
unlike India, they don't provide your placements. here It depends on your skills and talent on how you will crack the interviews.In Australia, universities will give you the guidance for getting the placements
Events :
The university mention about all the facilities they gave on their portals and gives all the information to the students through their portals and social media platforms like any sports selections or club selections. All the things are there. If you want to be the part of any club universities help in approaching the right person . Regarding the internet facility its A1. Even the uni has a technical department who help you in dealing with all the technical issues you have.
Scholarship :
I got 20 percent scholarship due to the pandemic otherwise it was 10 percent on the basis of my marks in graduation. No application is required for that automatically it is applied.
Faculty :
faculty :student ratio was 3: 40 for elective(sometimes 30) in which one faculty was the course instructor and rest two for checking the exams or for doubt clearing . For the main subjects it was 3:50/60. For approaching the teachers we contact them using Microsoft TEAMS and outlook. and within 5-6 hours maximum we get answers for our queries unless it is weekend .
Hostel :
well to be honest I didn't got the chance to live there but accommodation i chose to live in a villa where all the facilities from washing machine to internet all are there excluding the electricity bill and we are 7 people are going to live there.
