This three-year Ontario College Advanced Diploma program prepares students for career paths in the electrical, communications, manufacturing, electrical utilities and protection fields.
The program appeals to students who enjoy the challenge of solving problems ranging from how to connect and troubleshoot circuits, to the analysis, synthesis, and design of electrical and electronic systems.
Students learn how to apply practical experience, knowledge, mathematics, computer skills, and to find and evaluate solutions. Students acquire basic fundamentals during the first two levels.
In Levels 03 and 04, students develop the skills required by many of the more sophisticated areas of the industry. In Levels 05 and 06, students study the design of equipment, processes, and systems, interpret and prepare specifications, technical drawings, and instructions, prepare estimates and manage projects.
