Fraser International College Campus

Fraser International College is situated in the Barnaby Campus of Simon Fraser University and is very close to Vancouver city, Canada. The city is consistently ranked one of the best cities and home to various recreation and entertainment hubs such as restaurants, galleries, and nightlife.

Fraser International College has only one campus in Burnaby. Fraser International College Accommodations

Students of Fraser International College can live in the Simon Fraser University residences at the Burnaby campus. SFU residences are just a short distance walk from classes and feature single-room accommodation with all the necessary facilities such as speed internet access, common rooms with TVs and microwaves, dining halls and meal plans.

SFU housing consists of several buildings and is made up of towers, traditional residence halls, studio-style apartments and townhouses that have private rooms.

  • The Towers – this hall is made up of three buildings: Shadbolt, Barbara Rae and Pauline Jewett and homes 727 undergraduate residents. All three buildings consist of single occupancy rooms with the standard bed, closet, fridge, and other necessary furniture. It offers both single-gender, gender-inclusive housing options.
  • East/West Towers – this residence hall is a group of two buildings and consists of facilities similar to The Towers. The first two floors of the buildings serve as the amenity space and the remaining floors are occupied by single occupancy rooms.
  • Shell House – Shell House homes 130 first year and second-year undergraduate students and offers single-occupancy space with shared washrooms, shared kitchen, shared lounges and laundry rooms. This hall is located near the dining hall, gym and other entailment facilities.
  • Mctaggart Cowan-Hall – this residence hall can accommodate 200 first-year and second-year students and is located near the Shell House. It includes all the features that are included in the Shell House.
  • Townhouse – all Townhouse buildings are gender-inclusive and offer private rooms with shared common spaces such as washroom, kitchen, living room, and laundry. Residents can also create roommate groups and can live with friends.
  • Hamilton – Hamilton hall is a studio-style residence hall and includes a private bathroom and kitchen for graduate students. It offers gender-inclusive floors, wheelchair access and consists of shared common spaces such as a lounge and laundry.
  • Gec Burnaby Heights- offers accommodation to both international and domestic students located in the Capitol Hill neighbourhood of Burnaby. The 4 storey residence hall is shared, usually with two students sharing a room.

Fraser International College Programs

Fraser International College offers several foundations and undergraduate pathway programs to international students. The foundation and undergraduate pathway programs are designated as UTP Stage I and UTP Stage II respectively.

  • Foundation or UTP Stage I programs are designed for those students who do not meet the admission requirements. This program is offered in Business Administration, Computing Science, Engineering, Science or Arts and Social Sciences.
  • FIC offers 12 undergraduate pathway programs that include bachelors in Arts and Social Sciences, Business Administration, Communication, Art and Technology, Computing Science, Engineering Science, Environment and others.
  • FIC also offers an associate degree in Arts. The program is for two years at FIC which can be transferred to the relevant third-degree program at SFU or any other university.
  • Fraser International College’s University Transfer Program II (UTP Stage II) is equivalent to Simon Fraser University’s first-year bachelor program.
