  • Computer-aided drafting, electronic and digital circuits, microprocessors, programming, and programmable logic controllers are also studied in this program. 
  • Students gain valuable experience during a co-op work term while developing industry contacts for possible post-graduation employment opportunities. 
  • This program is accredited by the Canadian Association for Co-operative Education(CAFCE).
  • Students who have graduated from Georgian College’s Electrical Techniques Certificate program (ELTQ) must apply to be admitted with advanced standing.
  • Students, upon admission, must complete a selection of semester 1 and 2 courses to align with program progression.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

  • Students have to complete the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent with
    • Grade 12 English (C or U)
    • Grade 12 Mathematics (C or U)
  • Mature students, non-secondary school applicants (19 years or older), and home school students may also be considered for admission.
  • Students who have taken equivalent courses, upgrading, completed their GED, and equivalency testing also get admission to this program.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they have any one of the following certificates:

  • All-India Senior School Certificate (AISSCE)
  • Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC)
  • Indian School Certificate (ISC)
  • Intermediate Examination Certificate
  • Pre-University Examination Certificate
  • Diploma / Degree certificate Mark sheets for each year of study.

Georgian College accepts PTE Academic as one of the ELP tests required for international admissions. The minimum PTE Academic score requirement for Graduate Certificate admission is 61.
