Incredible growth at Durham College

NV
8.0 /10

The period I was applying to study abroad was too late for the specific intake and Durham College was still accepting students so I applied here.

Course Curriculum :

It is fine. The curriculum is better than expected Each and every topic of study is fully relevant to the curriculum and is taught beautifully. There are a lot of industry risks involved.

Exams :

IELTS and High School Diploma are required. I scored 6.5 overall on my IELTS test. One must score at least 5.5 bands in every category under the IELTS exam to study abroad.

Placement :

The college puts in a lot of effort to ensure that the students get jobs after their studies. The college has its own online portal where employers post jobs and college students can view them.

Internship :

No, I didn't get an internship.

Events :

Campus life was quite interesting before Covid. A lot of activities were happening in a week. There were also excursions for the students.

Fees :

For me as an international student, it was somewhere between $7000 to $8000 for each semester and I had 4 semesters in my program.

Scholarship :

No, I didn't receive any scholarship.

Faculty :

Faculty to student ratio is fine. Faculty and staff are all good. Professors like Tricia Wiseman, Christine Bailey, Dean Hawley, and Cynthia Moorcroft are very nice people.

Hostel :

I was living in an off-campus basement. All utilities like electricity, hydro, water, wifi were included and it cost me $400.
