University Of Waterloo in particular is known for it's brilliant mathematics faculty and coop program. I was hesitant between UBC and Waterloo, but Waterloo's advantages were clear. Not only would I be graduating with 2 years of work experience, I would be able to pay my own finances while studying.
Course Curriculum :
I think the course is brilliant. Since this is Mathematics Hons, it makes us think logically. We take a few courses from other faculties as well which really helps us diversify and understand what we want to do. The work load is immense and completely different from schools.
Exams :
My scores: IELTS 7.5; TOEFL 99; Boards 94; Class minimum score: IELTS 6; TOEFL; 85; Boards 80
Placement :
It depends course to course, however many companies such as Google, Amazon, One Plus, Youtube, Microsoft.
Internship :
Yes, I have interned at Vibhu Capital Services PVT LTD. Wasn't a paid internship.
Events :
I haven't experienced the campus due to covid-19. I will be going there this spring term.
Fees :
I paid 50k CAD including the housing finances.
Scholarship :
President's Scholarship which is $2000
Faculty :
The staff is really approachable. We have Teaching Assistants who help us every step of the way. They've set aside a professor for us to reach out to whenever we have doubts or need to talk to. We have office hours other than our lectures every week where we can ask our doubts regarding assignments or the content in general.
Hostel :
I haven't gone due to covid 19.
