Program strengths and weaknesses

CF
6.3 /10

It was very near to my home. It was also the only college in my province with an accredited engineering program so it was effectively my only option if I wanted to stay at home. I also heard positive things from others.

Course Curriculum :

I think there are places where it is lacking but overall it is comprehensive and appropriate for the program. We must take several first-year courses that are not directly related to our specific field.

Fees :

There are several hundred dollars in student fees that go towards student groups as well as the student union. Other charges include mandatory gym membership fees as well as a universal bus pass.

Examination Structure :

Exams are administered in the last few weeks of the semester, in December and April. Most courses have midterms during the semester as well. Exams are typically worth 50% of the course. Exams are generally 3 hours long.

Faculty :

I think the faculty are average. There are some that are certainly leaders in their respective fields but several that are less than stellar. There has also been a significant turnover in just the last few years.
