College of the North Atlantic's Review

C
6.7 /10

Close to home, cheaper tuition. Being close to things you are familiar with makes it easier to stay grounded. Along with being close to home, not having to worry about how I'm getting home and having to wait on buses also plays a huge factor. There isn't enough parking, but if you get there early in the morning you have a chance of getting a ticket.

Course Curriculum :

For marketing, the course work is very theory-based, which is good. It's great to know every situation that you could be a part of and be semi-prepared. They also threw in some math courses like stats and economics to understand all perspectives.

Internship :

Internships would basically be the same as workterms so yes. The experience is that you basically have to apply for a job to a certain person who handles all the resume giving and setting up interview times.

Fees :

Fees are a lot cheaper then anywhere else, so therefore can not be compared to others. The only thing is an extra charge for supply costs.

Examination Structure :

Exams are back to back within a week and a half. For example taking 7 mandatory classes means you have 7 final exams, which can be both terrifying and stressful, especially being a student. The structure of the tests themselves are also based on the instructor, some could obviously be more difficult than others, and the instructors try to sway you in the right direction.
