I researched about Health Care administration on the internet as well as get guidance from my agent. Conestoga is the only college which has 2 years of program and credits which I want to earn. I have done my 12th in Science stream from Gujarat, India. After that, I studied a Bachelor of Optometry (medicine) which is all about the eye. Passed Bachelor of Optometry from VNSGU with 1st class.
Exams :
I want to develop management skills, especially in the Health industry. It is the booming sector in India as well as globally. I want to start a multi optometrist clinic in the future in India as well as globally. For that management skills is must and that is the only reason to choose this program.
Placement :
In Conestoga college, my batch is 2nd batch. 1st batch is still on 3rd semester. I have no much idea about this program in Ontario. Most probably we'll get some basic entry-level job after graduation. This will really help us to get PR in Canada.
Internship :
No, this college doesn't give such an opportunity so that student get some practical experience in the field. Hope management thinks on this topic and tie up with some hospitals and give an opportunity to give internship to every in the program.
Fees :
Overall program fees are approximately 32000 CAD. I am not sure about scholarships but I heard from most of the seniors that there are no such scholarships in Conestoga college. I haven't got any scholarship at this college. Hope this fees should be less as it is much compared to some master degrees at the university level.
Faculty :
All the professors are very helpful and co-operative.
Hostel :
I am living off-campus on a sharing basis. I prefer to stay at off-campus because fees for accommodation on campus or in college is double than living outside the campus. Even food choices are also not up to the mark in the hostel.
