Algonquin campus is huge, from back home I always wanted to be a part of Algonquin College and now am finally in. Algonquin has tons of opportunities for students. Faculty of college itself proves why students love their college. My college thunder team is a best and important part of the college. Study spaces all around campus make students to score good marks as much as they can without any excuses. College keeps on making improvements to make their students feel they are at the right place. Being an International student I never felt like I spend a lot because am getting benefits in the college. How can I forget college theatre, I always love to watch free movies in the College theatre. I can speak fr the whole day about my college, I love my college.
Exams :
I believe Law clerk program is good to initiate to get in the legal line, I know many lawyers saying these words, that they haven't studied the basics of law which we are studying in the college and these basic parts play a big role in the legal field. I would say the basic paperwork, which matters a lot for lawyers, and I am getting better at this each day. If I consider batch size, am getting anther benefit being an Algonquin student, as my class have students from different countries and its always fun and interesting to know and discuss, how laws work in their country. After this program, I can go for either Paralegal or JD.
Placement :
I am in my second semester now, so I am not sure about how placements work here, but what I know is, the college has free employment centre in college, they help students in improving their resume's fr jobs and guide them in other aspects. College also takes students to several workshops where students can make contacts to get a job for future.
Internship :
As I said earlier, my college offers a lot of opportunities to the students including both campus jobs and co-op, I myself will try my best to be in co-op soon. On the other hand, being a student there are many campus jobs, which are not stressful at all. We have a campus store, Tim Hortons, Starbucks and so many other stores in college where college students works except this Ac hub offers positions like Student Navigator, which is also good options for students. International Education Centre of the college offers Peer Mentor and Peer leader jobs, which are good for the resume. Other than mentioned jobs there are still many.
Fees :
Fee structure is around 9000$ per semester, rest depends on which program you are in. I never felt like I am paying much as I am getting worth of my every dollar, College offers scholarships to the students who score 4 GPA. They have some other procedures as well. I am not sure much about scholarships.
Faculty :
I love facuty of my college (except just one or two). As most of them are itself in legal line, some are Lawyers, Paralegals and some on different positions, they have good experience which they always share with us to encourage us to do our best. Their guidelines always proved helpful.
