My experience at University of British Columbia.

Canada was my first option and UBC is one of the best universities in Canada. They also have a very rewarding engineering program.

Course Curriculum :

The first year of engineering was mostly high school topics and it was pretty easy. Now in the second year, we are going through more complex topics. Industrial exposure and research experience can only be obtained if we explore and try to get it. I am personally in a design team, UBC Baja which gives me a lot of industrial experience.

Exams :

For the application process, I just had to submit my grades for my pre-boards. I also had to fill up a personal profile where we had some questions about ourselves based on our experience and qualities. I would suggest everyone volunteer in a different thing and get some volunteer experience. In the end, once my board exam results were out I had to submit that to.

Placement :

N/a

Events :

Campus life is amazing in terms of socials aspects. There are many parties and social events organized by many clubs. UBC has one of the best infrastructures in the world. UBC is basically as big as a city. there are many extra-curricular activities, all around the campus.

Fees :

around $200,000

Scholarship :

no

Faculty :

I am not sure about the faculty to student ratio. The faculties are all highly educating and great teachers. They teach everything in a way that is really understandable. One of the best faculty fellows I had was my math prof in the first year, Professor Dragos Ghioca.

Hostel :

I used to live on campus my first year and the rent was around 10000$ for the whole year. Now when I live off-campus, I pay 650$/month.
