Field of Study

  • MBA at USask is a highly integrated program designed to meet the needs of individuals whose undergraduate education has been in either business or academic disciplines other than business, and whose future careers are likely to involve managerial activities. It is available at Edwards Business School of USask.
  • The Edwards MBA can be completed in only 24 months if taken full time, or part-time in up to 36 months. A student will learn the people skills of management: how to manage oneself and others; how to communicate effectively; how to lead.
  • The Edwards MBA Program offers an optional Internship Program to those Edwards MBA students hoping to gain relevant work experience in their field of interest. The program consists of two four-month work terms starting in January of the first year of study. 
  • A unique opportunity exists for students at USask to complete the M.B.A. and M.D. degrees concurrently. This opportunity is available to students accepted into the College of Medicine, allowing them to apply to and if accepted, complete an M.B.A. degree in addition to the M.D. degree.

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) and Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) Combined Degree Program tuition is assessed as 411.32CAD per credit unit (Pharm.D.) and 673.46CAD per credit unit (M.B.A.).

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

  • Language Proficiency Requirements: Proof of English proficiency is required for international applicants and for applicants whose first language is not English.
  • Students must have a GPA of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale
  • a cumulative weighted average of at least a 70% in the last two years of study (i.e. 60 credit units)
  • a four-year degree, or equivalent, from a recognized college or university
  • applicants will participate in an interview with the M.B.A. selection committee
  • current resume detailing positions held and a description of responsibilities
  • minimum score of 500 Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT)
  • three confidential letters of recommendation (minimum one academic)

VISA

  • International Students will need to apply for a valid Student VISA before entering Canada.
  • A student visa is an immigration document that allows students to live and study in Canada.
  • The student must have a student visa to enroll in any degree, program, or course that takes more than 6 months to complete.
  • Whether students also need an Entry Visa depends on their country of citizenship.
  • The Temporary Resident Visa (Entry Visa) is a stamp placed on their passport that allows them to enter Canada.
  • In most cases, students Entry Visa will have the same expiry date as their Student VISA.
  • A student VISA is usually valid for the length of the student’s study program, plus an extra 90 days.
