Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility conditions for BHMS General :

1. Only candidates whose names appear in the NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (SESSION FOR ADMISSION TO MBBS/BDS COURSES (NEET (UG) merit list of successful candidates prepared by CBSE for MBBS/BDS will be eligible to apply for BHMS course also.

 2. Every candidate seeking admission should have attained the age of 17 years on or before 31st December.

 3. Only Indian Citizens are eligible for admission except in the NRI quota seats.

4. A candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology and English individually in the qualifying 12th standard examination or other equivalent qualifying examination.

5. A candidate must have secured following minimum percentage of marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology took together in 12th standard examination or other equivalent qualifying examination:

 6. A candidate appearing/appeared in the qualifying 12th Standard examination or other equivalent qualifying examination in where the result is awaited can also 38 apply? However, he/she shall not be eligible for admission, if he/she does not pass the qualifying examination with the required pass percentage of marks prior to the first round of Counselling. He/she will be allowed to attend first counseling only if detailed marks certificate of the above said examination is submitted prior to or at the time of first counseling, failing which he/she will be declared ineligible for admission year and his/her application will be rejected.

 7. The candidates must have come in the merit list of NEET (UG for MBBS/BDS by securing following minimum marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology taken together:

8. Candidates applying under Scheduled Caste Category are required to submit the certificate regarding their category in the prescribed form, which must be signed only by officers mentioned in the form. Signature of any other officer will not be accepted & such applicants will be rejected.

9. Admission to All India Pool will be made on the basis of rank/merit obtained in NEET (UG).

10. Any seat(s) remaining unfilled from SC category/Physical Disability category/NRI category on account of non-availability of eligible candidates shall be filled from eligible All India Pool General Category candidates on the basis of rank/merit obtained in NEET (UG).

Eligibility Criteria for seats reserved for Scheduled Castes

1.The candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes have to submit a certificate to this effect issued by the Tehsildar/Magistrate 1st Class/Deputy Commissioner of their area of residence and bearing the seal of the issuing authority. (Specimen copy of the certificate is appended as Appendix C).

Important: Certificate not bearing the seal of the competent authority will not be accepted.

2.If any seat(s) still remains unfilled on account of non-availability of eligible SC candidates, it shall be filled from eligible All India Pool General Category candidates on the basis of rank/merit obtained in NEET (UG).

Eligibility conditions for BHMS (Physical Disability category)

1.1st preference will be given to the candidates suffering from Locomotors disabilities of Lower Limbs between 50% - 70%, 2nd preference will be given to the candidates suffering from Locomotors Disabilities of Lower Limbs between 40% - 50%, in case no suitable candidate from 50% - 70% disability is available.

2.If any seat(s) still remains unfilled on account of non-availability of eligible candidates, it shall be filled from eligible All India Pool General Category candidates on the basis of rank/merit obtained in NEET (UG).

Eligibility conditions for BHMS (NRI category)

1. Admission in BHMS course for Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) / NRI will be done on the basis of NEET.

2. If any seat(s) still remains unfilled on account of non-availability of eligible candidates, it shall be filled from eligible All India Pool General Category candidates on the basis of rank/merit obtained in NEET (UG).
