Crescent Institution of Nursing is a nursing college in Alathur, Palakkad in Kerala. Established in the year 2006, Crescent Institution of Nursing is a part of the Crescent Medical Centre. B.Sc. Nursing Duration: 4 years
Eligibility: Candidate must have a minimum of 50% as a total of the marks of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English in the higher secondary examination. ( 45% for SC/ST and socially and economically weak categories 
M.Sc. Nursing  Duration: 2 years
Eligibility: Candidates with B.Sc. Nursing degree can apply for an M.Sc. Nursing. 
General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) Duration: 3.5 years
Eligibility: 10+2 examination or an equivalent examination with a minimum of 45% of the average marks of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

Crescent Institution of Nursing Admissions

Crescent Institution of Nursing invites UG and PG courses in Nursing. 50% of the seats of this course are filled through a Government Quota and the remaining 50% seats are filled by the Management Quota. The seats of the Government Quota are filled through a centralised allotment process conducted by the LBS Centre for Science & Technology. The seats of the Management Quota are filled by candidates directly applying to the college.

The college also offers a course in General Nursing & Midwifery. Admissions to the course are done offline by directly applying to the college’s office.

  3. The candidate must fill the application form in his/her handwriting.

Crescent Institution of Nursing Facilities

  • Hostel: Crescent Institution of Nursing has a separate building for girls’ hostel. The hostel has an intake of 200+ girl students. The hostel is located inside the campus of the college.
  • Library: The College has a huge library consisting of impressive 3000+ books. The books are meant for reference for the undergraduate and other courses of the college. The books obtained are in accordance with the syllabus of the University of Calicut.
  • Laboratories: The College has well-equipped, adequate clinical laboratories for the practical studies of the students. There are separate laboratories for teaching fundamentals of nursing, anatomy and physiology, nutrition and advanced learning, and maternity and child health.
  • Clinical practice: The students of Crescent Institution of Nursing get to practice in the Crescent Hospital. The students get on-the-job training in other hospitals too such as Lakshmi Cardiac Care Centre, VRC Mental Hospital Tirur, and KG Hospital in Coimbatore. These hospitals are affiliated with the college for practical exposure of the students.
