In the month of August 1994, the Mahatma Gandhi Missions Institute of Nursing Education was set up with an aim to prepare health professionals who can serve the ill and sick people selflessly. The Institute takes inspiration from Mother Teresa who was herself a selfless worker. Located within MGM Campus, the Institute has a lot of built in area with state of the art infrastructural facilities like spacious class rooms, comprehensive range of books in the library, modern furniture and equipments in the Lecture halls, offices, common rooms and well equipped libraries.

MNGO status or Mother Non Government Organization status was received by the Mahatma Gandhi Mission from the Indian Government’s Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. A lot of awareness is created and demand is generated with NGO strengthening and contributes a lot towards reduction in Mother Mortality Rate, Infant Mortality rate and Total Fertility Rate.

2. Mahila Bachat Gut-

As the name suggests, this society was set up with an aim to finance women and help them support their families while becoming independent and becoming entrepreneurs. The women who are unable to get conventional bank loans to start their independent work can get help from this gut.

3. Yoga and Vipassana Center-

The Institute also provides Vipassana and Yoga facilities that helps in calming the mind and building body strength. A lot of focus is also placed on the Gandhian thought. A lot of Khadi weaving centers have also been set up to teach women certain skills that help them to earn their living.
