Admissions to the program will be based on CAT/ JEMAT MAKAUT exam score. Institute of Engineering & Management (IEM), Kolkata, offers MBA courses in four different streams i.e. Marketing, Finance, System, and Human resource Management. IEM MBA Eligibility Criteria 

Candidates who have a graduation or post graduation degree with a minimum of 50% marks are eligible to apply for an MBA program. 

IEM MBA Admission Guidelines

The candidates who want to get into IEM for Management course have to take up the CAT/JEMAT/MAKAUT exam. The CAT/JEMAT/MAKAUT scores are required for admission to the college. 

Along with the entrance exam a personal interview and group discussion will also take place in the premises of the institute.

IEM MBA Exam Pattern

MAKAUT Exam Pattern

  • The exam contains 50 questions and five groups of questions relating to General Knowledge, Logical Reasoning, Numerical Ability and other major subjects.
  • Each question is of two marks with a time duration of 90 minutes.

CAT Exam Pattern

  • CAT Exam contains three sections which include Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Ability, Reading Comprehension, Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation.
  • The total number of questions is 100 and the total mark is 300, with time duration of 120 minutes. The exam has questions based on both MCQ and non- MCQ type.
