The head of the department is the best teacher i have seen.
Good Faculty team which makes it easier for the students to understand concepts.
Getting into a top government engineering college was my dream and I was very happy when it became true.
The exams are too easy to pass and the labs are also easy and you will score good if you have good attendance
Campus life is awesome with almost all clubs.Faculties are too experienced and they know their subject matter a lot .
The availability o hostel is quite good that i like very much.
College students are very helpfull college study atmosphere is too good

Dislike

Unfortunately, MAKAUT, the university to which this college is affiliated, does nothing to revive the course structure.
The placement and job scenario in the engineering field in the whole of Bengal, and all over India, is poor these days

KGEC in my eyes

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester, students become eligible for campus visits. Amazon, TCS, Wipro, and Cognizant are the mass recruiters. The highest package is 22 LPA and the average package is 5 LPA. Almost all the students get placed amongst those who opt for campus placement. Rest students including me opt for higher studies(MTech, MBA, MS, etc.).

Remarks:

If one wants to take admission to Kalyani Government Engineering College for B.Tech, the candidate must have qualified 10+2 in science(Subjects must include Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, and English) and have at least 60% marks in that. Next, he/she has to secure good marks in WBJEE. GMR 1000 will be enough to be selected for the CSE department of KGEC.
