What students say about Shah and Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College - [SAKEC]

Likes

  • The course is good because it gives knowledge about hardware and software as well.
  • If you think that you are going to get a good internship, then you should try other colleges. However, in terms of faculty and placements, its a very good college overall.
  • The highest package is 23.5 CTC. 98% of students get placed. My plans after obtaining the degree are to secure a position in a reputable company.
  • A loan facility was offered by the government for families who have a yearly income below 1 lakh, and it was a very good amount.
  • Extracurricular activities such as labs, sports, competitions, robotics, and debates were really awesome.
  • Basically, there are many engineering colleges in Mumbai that do not provide hostel facilities for candidates.
  • My remarks for my college will always be good as I am an engineer and working in the worlds topmost IT company.

Dislike

  • Sometimes the curriculum is nice enough to get involved in the activities, while other times its boring, depending on the different semesters of studying in college.
  • There is a 10% fee hike, but due to COVID, there was no fee hike this year.
  • Campus life: Its till 5 pm when you have to be in college, which can be annoying since there is only a gymkhana with indoor games, and everything is controlled by a committee.
  • There is no hostel of the college, which is a major drawback. The canteen is also not up to the mark, as it is a common canteen for diploma and degree students and is also small in size.
  • In total, I would only make negative remarks about my college, marking it negatively in every sense.

Placement Experience:

For placements, the 10th percentage should be at least 40, and the 12th percentage should be a minimum of 60 and up to 6 semesters depending on the company's criteria a minimum CGPA is required. There were around 15 companies that visited our campus.

Remarks:

The process of admission was quite similar to that of other colleges. Admission was based on CET marks. The application form, application fees, and application dates were available on the college website. So there was not much confusion about the procedures.

placement: 8/10
