Walchand College of Engineering Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria is as follows:

  • The candidates who have passed/completed a B.E or B.Tech degree from any recognized university or institute with minimum marks of 55% in the final year are eligible for this m.tech program.
  • The degree holders after passing the examination of the institute of engineering are considered appropriate for the M.tech program.
  • The candidate needs to qualify through the GATE examinations from the respective branch.
  • A student who has passed B.E/B.Tech programs in civil engineering, water management, or environmental engineering from any recognized university are eligible for this course.
  • The candidate who has passed B.E in automobile engineering or production engineering specializations are eligible for the M.Tech mechanical program. Those who will score in GATE (mechanical engineering) will be given preference.
  • A candidate who has qualified for the grade institute of electronics and telecommunication examination is eligible for M.Tech (electrical). If the candidate has passed GATE examinations for electrical engineering.
  • The candidate who has passed the final year examination in any of the following engineering courses ( B.Tech computer science, B.Tech information technology) with a minimum of 50% marks are eligible.
  • the candidate should have a minimum of two years of work experience as a permanent employee in a registered firm for admission under the sponsored category.

Walchand College of Engineering Admission Guidelines

Admissions will be done through a merit list prepared based on the GATE score of their respective branch.

  • The candidates who are qualified through GATE examinations are eligible for the allowance of 12400/- per month as per the AICTE norms.
  • Just in case seats are available for the GATE qualified applicants. Non GATE students can apply for the same but they have to clear an entrance test conducted by the college.
  • In every course, five seats are reserved for the sponsored (NON-GATE) students.
  • Admissions to the Non -GATE category will be implemented according to the merit list.
  •  For provisional certificate Every candidate needs to fill the eligibility form and submit it along with the following documents -Transfer certificate, leaving certificate from the previous institute, migration certificate, mark sheet.
  • The candidate has to register as a postgraduate student.
  • Applicants who belong to the reserved category have to submit their caste certificate and caste validity certificate.
  • The candidate who wants a scholarship needs to give an undertaking that he/she will not leave the course midway.

  • Fill in the required details such as name, address, age, etc.
  • Attach the hard copy of required documents- mark sheet, transfer certificate, adhar card copy or pan card, migration certificate, etc.
  • Attach the current passport size photograph.
