1. The arts faculty is not the best. If you are looking for the best faculty, then its the commerce faculty for which GGDSD college is known. 2. There is no industrial exposure. If you are doing a BA, though, MCOM students get industrial exposure.
Its very good that all companies come to my college, like TCS, Infosys, HCL, and many more.
The college faculty organizes a job fest in which approximately 200 companies come to interview students. They offer great job packages to two batches per annum. This is a platform where students can achieve a great future.
I dont think there is any loan facility, but there is a bank in college which may offer this type of study loan. Scholarships are offered to students who achieve good merit in semester exams, and they receive fee concessions.
The college canteen is the best place where all students gather and make gossip.
If someone wants to live in a hostel, there are many hostels available nearby, such as in sector 32, 33, and 46, at quite an affordable rate.
Because this is one of the best colleges in Panjab University in Chandigarh, and it has a lot of fame for providing the best placements as well. I wanted to be in Chandigarh, so being a renowned college, I applied here.

Dislike

I didnt opt for an internship, but a few of my fellow students tried taking internships outside of college with the teachers reference for journalism.
I remember we were only offered call center jobs with a maximum package of 2.5 lac.
During my stay at college, there was no fee hike, and before that, no such fee hike was observed in the college. The cost to study is 100000 for three years, which is approximately similar to that of other less reputed colleges.
Hostel is in a very poor condition with sanitation issues, limited room space, improper room design, unhealthy restrictions, and the food in the mess is also not good.
I personally have never had a bad or not even a very good experience with the management because our teachers are always there to protect us.

SD college, the place where you can have fun and study

Placement Experience:

Our college does work with some of the major recruiting companies worldwide. The IT sectors and commerce sectors do get good placements. But in general, the placement might not be that good for everyone since it's not on that level as of now.

Remarks:

There wasn't an entrance exam as such, students are required to fill out a form under DHE Chandigarh to apply for colleges that are under government or semi-governance grants. After then it's a mere selection process. It's not that difficult to get admission if you have scored well in the 12th boards.
