Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] {Lateral} (Mechanical Engineering) From AIMT, Lucknow

Aspirants seeking admission to 3 years Full-time B.Tech(Lateral) Program should meet the following criteria as specified by the institute.

Academic Requirement:

1.Through UPTAC 

• Candidates who have passed three years Engg. Diploma from an Institution located in U.P. with minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) OR ‘whose parents (Father or mother) are having domicile of Uttar Pradesh and he/she has passed three years Engg. Diploma with minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) recognized by the Board of Technical Education, U.P., in any branch of Engineering (except Agriculture Engg., Pharmacy, and Architecture), are eligible for admission to the Second year in any branch of Engineering / Technology.
• Candidates who have passed three years B.Sc. degree and passed XII standard with mathematics as one of the subject’ from any recognized University; securing minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) in aggregate, are also eligible for admission to the second year in any branch of Engineering/ Technology.

2. Through Direct Admission under Management Quota/ Vacant Seats after counseling of UPTAC

For direct admission to 2^nd year of B. Tech. a candidate must have passed Diploma Examination of U. P. Board of Technical Education or its equivalent from any recognized Board / University; securing minimum 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks

Entrance Exam:

The vacant seats in B. Tech. course after UPTAC counseling for lateral entry (second year) shall be filled within 15 days of the last date of counseling in the following order:

1.By the qualified candidates of UPTAC, who fulfill the eligibility. Their relative merit will be decided on their rank in UPTAC.

2. Thereafter, the vacant seats, if any, will be filled on merit by such candidates who have passed the qualifying examination and are qualified for lateral entry admission.
