What students say about H.D. Jain College

Likes

  • My elder brother also graduated from that college, so I was already aware that studying physics there is good.
  • In terms of placements, it was excellent as almost all the top-notch companies came to the campus to recruit eligible students.
  • The fee is not too high, although a good number of students who belong to average or poor families have also taken admission.
  • The gender ratio is good here, as it enables both girls and boys who are unable to leave their cities to study here.
  • The faculties are good, but the college management and its infrastructure need improvement. Students should be provided with good hostel facilities.

Dislike

  • It only works on paper, all stated above, due to lower infrastructure and the governments lack of focus on our poor education system. They are ignoring the power of education. Events are rarely seen, but some sports events occur regularly

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose physics because I was good at physics since 11th. My elder brother also passed from that college so I already knew that study of physics is good here. So I took admitted to physics. In faculty, a total of 173 students were divided into three sections. The teaching method was quite good. Exams were taken annually but our physics professor took weekly tests which were very impressive. According to me, the study of physics is better here in comparison to any neighbor college.

Remarks:

The admission process was mostly online. First of all online Admission form was submitted. Based on marks obtained in the class 12th exam, the merit list was prepared. I got 83% in the base 12th examination. But the required percentage without any reservation Cota was 85% for Admission. But I got the benefit of EWS and I got Admission here after counseling.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose chemistry because I performed well in chemistry in both 10th and 12th and also chemistry is my passion so there was not any reason to choose any other subject. Our chemistry professor was Mr. Nawaz Alam and he was Ph.D. Qualified. His way of teaching was very good. He made chemistry very interesting for us. According to me, he is not retired till now and still teaching in college. Exams were taken annually so we got a good time for preparation.

Remarks:

The admission process was quite good. There was not any special test organized for admission. The admission process was based on performance in the intermediate examination. A merit list was prepared and the required percentage was 85 for the general category but I had EWS so I easily got admission.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I was good at physics and obtained good marks in this subject. Also in this faculty number of students is large. Exams were taken annually and they were enough to test our studies.

Remarks:

The admission was taken based on marks obtained in class 12. An online form was filled out for admission. A detailed merit list was prepared and then counseling was done after that documents were verified and then admission was done.
