Karim City College was established in 1961. It is affiliated to Kolhan University, Chaibasa and Accreditation awarded B+ by NAAC.

The institute offers Arts and Commerce Degree course, and is affiliated to Ranchi University. The institute offers courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level in the streams of Arts, Commerce, Science, Computer Application, Mass Communication and Education.

In order to evaluate the candidates for admission to the various UG and PG courses, the college publishes the Provisional rank list and the respective students are called up for the Interview. After that, the college publishes the Final rank list for the selected candidates.

Karim City College UG Admission 2023

At Undergraduate level, the college offers B.A., B.Sc., B.Com., BCA, B.Ed courses under a number of specializations. B.A. is offered with 10 different specialization subjects, whereas, B.Sc. is offered with seven different specializations. All the UG courses offered are for a period of three years except for the B.Ed programme for which the duration is two years.

Admission to these UG courses start in the month of June and are based on merit of the students at 10+2 level. Students who are eligible are called up for the Interview. Admission to the Mass Communication programme is done through a Written/Aptitude Test and interview.

In order to get admission to the Bachelor’s degree in Computer Application (BCA), selection will be made on the basis of written test followed by viva-voce.

Karim City College PG Admission 2023

The college also offers a number of PG courses, both through regular and distant mode, under various specialization subjects for the graduate students willing to pursue higher education in the subjects. All the courses are for a period of two years. Apply for PG Courses

Admission to the PG courses starts in the month of July and the eligible candidates in the Provisional Rank List are called up for an interview based on the performance of which a candidate gets selected for the course.

Forms and prospectus will be available at the college counter after payment of Rupees 500/-
Completely filled in application form alongwith attested copies of marksheet of the qualifying exam and other testimonials must be submitted (Students have to enclose a DD of Rs.400 in the name of Principal, Karim City College, Jamshedpur with this form and send it to college address)
Forms can also be downloaded from the college web site.
The Downloaded form (completely filled in) must be sent to The Prof-in-Charge, Dept. of Mass Communication, Karim City College, Jamshedpur, Jharkhand 831001 alongwith a Demand Draft of Rs. 500 in favor of The Principal, Karim City College, Jamshedpur.
