Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants seeking admission to the Program should meet the following criteria as specified by the institute.

Academic requirement:-

  • At least 50% of marks should be scored separately in Theory and Practical of preliminary examination for each subject to be declared as pass in that subject, provided both Theory & Practical should be passed together.
  • If a student fails to pass a preliminary examination he/she should pass them before appearing the main examination.
  • The PG degree will be honored after accepting the dissertation and passing all subjects of the final examination.
  • A person possessing the degree in Ayurveda (BAMS) of a University or Board or Medical Institution specified in the second schedule to the act shall be eligible for admission to the Post Graduate Course.
  • Must be registered in the state Ayurvedic Practioner Board/ Council.
  • Students should have completed compulsory rotatory Internship.
  • Students from University others must get an eligibility certificate from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.
  • Student Should have qualified in AIAPGET Examination.

Students wants to admit through Govt. Quota under PGET should full fill following eligibility criteria

A candidate who fulfills the following criteria shall be eligible to appear for the PGET Entrance Test, namely:-

  • He is a citizen of India.
  • He has studied and passed in the courses leading to the award of a Bachelor's degree in Ayush specified in clause (iv) below in colleges recognized by Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM) and Government of India and affiliated to any University established by Law and located in Karnataka State.
  • Candidate must be of the Karnataka origin who had studied Bachelor's degrees specified in clause (iv) below in colleges outside the State of Karnataka recognized by Central Council of Indian Medicine and Government of India and affiliated to any University established by Law in India.
    Explanation: "Candidate of Karnataka origin means who or his parents (Father or Mother) has been a resident of Karnataka State for a period of not less than ten years and who produce a domicile certificate from the concerned Tahasildar to that effect.
  • Minimum qualification for admission to Post Graduate degree courses - In the case of MD and MS (Ayurveda) - He/she has a BAMS Degree.
  • The Candidate must not have attained the age of 45 years as on the last date fixed for submission of application to Post Graduate Degree Entrance Test
  • The Candidates who have completed or are completing compulsory rotatory internship on or before last date fixed for application to entrance test.
  • A Candidate, who is already holding or perusing a Post-Graduate Degree in any specialty of AYUSH System shall not be eligible to appear for the test regarding admission to any Post- Graduate Degree Course.?
