Course Curriculum Overview:

First of all, I chose this course because of its rising demand and also because I have a keen interest in learning about Ayurveda, its remedies, and its treatment. In teaching the faculty is good overall. But in some departments, the faculty members are very few. The faculty member is well qualified. They all are mds from different regions of India. Many of them are from BHU too. The term exams are conducted in every 6 months(total 3 times) as the 1st prof. is of one and a half years now. And the periodic test is conducted 3 times in every 6 months(Total 9 times) and the Last Final exam is conducted at the end of the prof.

BAMS has great potential. Teacher student ratio is also very good around 1:8. The exam was a bit problematic as it was conducted by AGRA University which caused a great problem for students but the problem will not be for new students because now in UP there is a separate AYUSH university for all the colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course as I felt this was better after MBBS, which was not possible for me to get admitted with my scores. Though I had an option for BDS, I chose this as I can treat the whole body and found more chances in building up my career. It is an ancient science which got origin in India and is found to heal people which interested me, in learning ones on cultural science. The faculty-student ratio is around 1:20 All the faculties are qualified with BAMS Degrees and PG in specific branches.HODs have had their PHDs too. The teaching method is reviewed as per the suggestions of students. Two-term exams and one model exam are conducted within a year and we require 50 percentage marks to pass each, which is a bit difficult to score. From these three exams, we have to score at least 35 percent on two papers to be eligible for writing University Exam and then a yearly University Examination is conducted which decides our promotion to the next year's class. Throughout the course, there are four University Examinations.

Campus Life:

No Campus is good enough. Social life is usually interfered with by the members of the college so your personal space is no more personal space. Gradually things have become ok but still, we have to always be alert for any member of staff.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is not on time on the paper course is for 5 yrs but it takes about 7-8 yrs to complete due to the lack of importance provided by the central government and universities too. Basically, it defers from university to university.
