MIT Sloan scores better than The Columbia School on all parameters, as per MBA ranking published by some of the popular agencies like QS News, THE and Financial Times.

Despite having same admission criteria for MBA ie. GPA, GMAT and IELTS/TOEFL scores, Columbia Business School has higher acceptance rate than MIT Sloan School of Management. Some difference in the admission requirements of both business schools of USA are:

  • MIT Sloan requires only 1 LOR whereas Columbia Business School asks for 2 recommendations.
  • In addition to written essays, MIT also asks for a video essay but Columbia Business School has no such additional requirements.

Columbia Business School’s MBA class of 2020 had 44% study abroad aspirants which almost constitutes the half of class. On the other hand, MBA class of MIT Sloan had 33% of international students. Thus, the community of international students at Columbia Business School is more vast.
