Medical Coder

As a medical coder, you have to review patient medical records and allocate codes to diagnoses and procedures performed. You can work on-site for hospitals, clinics, doctors, etc. Coders use 3 different code sets: CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10.

The person is responsible for teaching students; score assignments and develop lesson plans. The person also works with students in the formulation and implementation of research. 

Research Assistant

A person has to collect data and analyze data, prepare materials for submission, request supplies necessary for the project and supervise projects.

Medical Scientist

A medical scientist is responsible for running trial procedures, work in hospitals, clinics and other required situations. The person has to ensure that all the processes are carried out properly.

Genetic Counselors

A person has to analyze patient histories, provide genetic testing, perform genetic risk calculations, educate families about potential health risks and help patients to cope with a diagnosis.
