As per IMU CET 2023 Eligibility Criteria, Candidates who want to apply for the exam must have secured a minimum of 60% aggregate in an examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics at plus two levels. What is IMU CET?

IMU CET is conducted by Indian Maritime University for admission to UG, PG, and Ph.D. courses such as B. Tech, B. Sc, except BBA, M. Tech, M. Sc, and MBA with various specializations. IMU CET 2023 is conducted once a year across 36 cities in India. Check IMU CET Participating Colleges

IMU CET 2023 Application Form

Candidates who want to apply for the exam can check the details about IMU CET 2023 Application Form given below:

  • IMU CET 2023 Application Form is expected to be released in the last week of March 2023.
  • The application form will be released online mode only. No offline facility will be given.
  • Candidates will be able to fill out the application form at imu.edu.in. 
  • Candidates will have to fill in their personal details, educational details, etc.
  • Candidates need to upload scanned images of their photograph, signature, and class 10th mark sheet.
  • The last date of IMU CET 2023 Application Form is expected to be in the Last week of April 2023.
  • After submitting the application form, candidates have to take the printout of the application form for further references

IMU CET 2023 Eligibility

Candidates who want to appear for IMU CET 2023 must ensure that they qualify for all eligibility criteria mentioned in the official brochure. The eligibility criteria are mentioned below:

Course Eligibility Criteria
B.Tech Qualification: Candidates should have passed class 12 or equivalent from a recognized board. Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English are mandatory to be eligible. Age Limit: Maximum age limit for Male Candidates is 25 to 28 years (SC/ST - 30 years) and for Female candidates is 27 to 30 years (SC/ST - 32 years). Marks Criteria: At least 60% in PCM and 50% in English.
B.Sc Qualification: Candidates should have passed class 12 or equivalent from a recognized board. Marks: At least 60% in PCM and 50% in English. Relaxation: 5% relaxation is given in English marks.
MBA Qualification: Candidates must have secured a bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Marks: 50% marks in aggregate from any recognized university/institute. Age Criteria: There are no age criteria Relaxation: There will be a5% relaxation in eligibility marks (except English marks). Eligibility Medical: All candidates who qualify for this course have to submit a Physical fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner.

IMU CET 2023 Admit Card

IMU is expected to release IMU CET 2023 Admit Card in the 1st week of June 2023. Candidates are required to log in using their application/registration number and password in order to download their admit cards. Follow the below instructions to download the admit card:

  • Visit the official website - imu.edu.in.
  • Click the link showing admit card.
  • On the login page, enter your user ID and password.
  • Click on submit.
  • Download the admit card and take a printout of it for future reference.

IMU CET 2023 Counselling

IMU CET 2023 Counselling will be started in the 1st week of July 2023 

  • The candidates who are shortlisted (either in the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd list) would be required to confirm their seats by paying the fee. This seat allotment would be provisional and candidates will be required to carry the provisional allotment letter during the document verification process. 
  • Counseling would be done in online mode and candidates would not be required to present themselves for the counseling at some center.
  • Seat allotment would be done on the basis of the candidate’s choices, availability of seats, academic merit (as IMU CET 2023 has been canceled) and his suitability based on physical, medical, and other related standards. The decision of the IMU CET 2023 exam conducting authority would deem to be final in this regard.

Ques: Is IMU CET held twice a year?

Ans: All admissions to the various UG and PG programmes of the IMU and its Affiliated Institutes will be through All-India Common Entrance Tests (CETs) conducted every year.

Ques: What is the age limit for admission through IMU CET 2023?

Ans: As per the tentative dates IMUCET 2023 it is expected to be conducted in the month of June 20. The upper limit for IMU CET is 25 years and minimum age is 17 years as on August 1st 2022. The candidate should have at least 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 10+2.

Ques: What do I need to do if I found any discrepancies on IMU CET 2023 Admit Card?

Ans: In that case, you will have to contact the university (IMU) for the discrepancies on the admit card at the following address.

Ques: Can I get any concession fee as a reserved category candidate for IMU CET 2023?

Ans: Yes, you will get a concession fee of INR 300 as an application fee. IMU CET 2023 application fee is Rs 1000 however, reserved category candidates have to pay Rs 700 only. 

Ques: Can I get direct admission in IMU?

Ans: NO, you cannot get direct admission in DNS Colleges without clearing or giving any Entrance Exams. In order to get admission in DNS Courses, you have to give IMU CET Entrance exam to get admission in reputed Colleges in India.

Ques: What percentage is required for IMU?

Ans: Candidates have to pass 10+2/equivalent with minimum 60% of aggregated marks in any stream and minimum of 50% marks in English subject in 10th / 12th Examination

Ques: Do I need to carry on the examination day along with IMU CET 2023 Admit Card?

Ans: On the day of the examination you need to bring a valid photo ID proof such as a PAN card, Passport, Driving Licence, Aadhar Card, Voter ID Card, etc along with IMU CET 2023 admit card.
