UPESEAT 2022 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must make sure that they satisfy UPESEAT Eligibility criteria before proceeding to fill the application form:
UPESEAT Age Limit
- Only candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 1, 1999, are eligible to apply for admission.
- Date of Birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board only will be taken as authentic.
Educational Qualification Requirements
- For admission through UPESEAT and Board Merit: Minimum 50% aggregate marks in class 12 board and also 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics subjects.
- For admission through JEE Main Merit: Minimum 50% aggregate marks in class 12 board, 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics subjects and a valid JEE Main score.
UPESEAT 2022 Scholarship Programs
UPES offers various scholarships in form of tuition fee waivers to all Indian candidates and Uttarakhand domiciled candidates.
All India Category
- Eligibility criteria - 80% marks in class 10th and 12th with 85% in PCM
- 50% tuition fee waiver on 10% seats in each program in the first year for CBSE, ICSE & State board pass out students
- The Scholarship will be renewed in the Second Semester provided the student obtains an SGPA of 8/10.
- Scholarship in subsequent years will be as per the scholarship policy of the University
- Scholarships will be awarded based on Merit only.
Uttarakhand Domicile Special Scholarships
Eligibility Criteria:
- Minimum 80% marks in each of 10th, 12th class, and PCM for B.Tech.
- Merit order allotment of 1 seat per program.
- The seats reserved under this category will be within the 15% reservation for Uttarakhand Domicile students.
- Should have “Sthai Niwas Praman Patra” (Permanent Residence Certificate)
- Students will be entitled only to 1 scholarship at a time (either through Uttarakhand Board Merit or through the Uttarakhand Domicile category)
- 33% concession on Tuition Fee for Uttarakhand domicile students on merit-cum-means basis
Fee Concession Criteria:
- The student should be in possession of a valid ‘Sthai Niwas Praman Patra’/ Mool Nivas Praman Patra / Adhiwas Niwas praman patra from Uttarakhand state.
- The total annual family income should be ₹ 8 lakh or less.
Scholarships Awarded:
- 25% of tuition fee for Boys and 35% for Girl students in the first year
- The Scholarship will be renewed in the Second Semester provided the student obtains an SGPA of 8/10

UPESEAT 2022 Application Form
UPESEAT Registration can be done in online mode only at the official website – upes.ac.in. The Application Process involves 4 simple steps as explained below:
Step 1: UPESEAT Registration
- Visit the official website of UPES i.e. upes.ac.in
- Click on the “Apply Now” tab available at the right top corner of the page.
- Enter your personal details such as name, date of birth, nationality, email ID, mobile no., state, city, and program.
- Enter the OTP received on your mobile number to proceed to the next step.
Step 2: Enter Academic Details
- Enter your 10th standard year of passing and marks in percentage or CGPA.
- Also, indicate your class 12 appearing status and other details.
Step 3: Pay UPESEAT Application Form Fees
- Candidates have to pay UPESEAT Application Fee of INR 1350 in online mode.
- You can pay the fees via debit card/ credit card/ net banking/ Paytm or PayU.
Step 4: Complete UPESEAT Application Form
- The last step is to finish the application form by filling in the remaining details.
- Review the form once, agree to the declaration and submit the form.
- Make sure you save a copy of the filled-in UPESEAT Application Form 2021 and fee receipt.
Note:
- Applicants will be considered for the respective round of the selection process as per the defined timelines
- One applicant will be processed only for one round of the selection process
- In case the results of the applicants state board examinations are not declared yet, you may upload the marks as soon as the board results get declared and he/she will be considered for the next round of the selection process
- State boards students are advised to submit only class 12 marks (in case board result include class 11th marks also)
UPESEAT 2022 Slot Booking & Admit Card
- UPES intimates the successfully registered candidates about the exam dates, slot booking window, and exam centers via email around two months prior to the exam.
- Candidates have to book their desired slot and choose exam center city to take the exam.
- Once the slot is booked, they will be able to download UPESEAT Admit Card 2022.
- UPESEAT Slot Booking window and Admit card can be accessed at the applicant’s login page by logging in with your email ID and password.

- UPESEAT 2022 is a computer-based test having 200 MCQs of 1 mark each.

UPESEAT 2022 Syllabus
- The syllabus of the university-level engineering exam is based on the topics of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics of class 11 and 12 curricula.
- Candidates are advised to stick to their NCERT or state board textbooks for preparation for UPESEAT 2022.
- For the English Language Comprehension section, Candidates should practice reading comprehension, grammar rules and enhance their vocabulary.

UPESEAT 2022 Counselling
UPESEAT 2022 Counselling process is conducted offline, after the online registration. Candidate must register on the website to be part of a centralized counselling process. Seats will be allotted to candidates according to the candidate’s preferences and rank. UPESEAT 2022 Counselling will be held in Dehradun only.

UPESEAT 2022 Selection Process
- Seat allotment for the respective round will be declared as per the defined timelines.
- The seat allotment process will be based on merit order and seat availability in the desired program
- In case of the Tie at 10+2 PCM score/percentage for B. Tech program applicants, the weightage will be given to applicants scoring higher marks in Mathematics followed by Physics and Chemistry (if required)
- In case of the Tie at 10+2 PCB score/percentage for B. Pharma program applicants, the weightage will be given to applicants scoring higher marks in Biology followed by Physics and Chemistry (if required)
