Being a Lecturer, what are your roles and responsibilities towards the students ?

“To plan, deliver and evaluate theoretical and practical instructions”

As a Lecturer in the CSE department, my responsibilities include planning, scheduling, organizing, coordinating and monitoring lectures and practicals for students. I also encourage students to participate in co-curricular activities.

What valuable advice would you like to give to the students to have a prosperous career ahead?

“Consider taking part in a work-study program”

I would advise students to look for internship opportunities available to them and focus on growing their skills and knowledge. It is very important for students to stay focused in whatever they do and find a balance with personal life. 

What is the role of BCET towards the students to help them gain necessary skills?

“We conducts training program for Second and Third year students”

The following activities are arranged for students to help them gain necessary skills: 

  1. The college engages industrial visits to acquaint the students with practical and basic engineering knowledge every year. 
  2. Our college conducts blood donation camps to boost the social awareness and ethical duty as human beings. 
  3. The college makes exhibitions of the best projects done by the third year students to motivate and enhance the cult of engineering and science to first and second year students. 
  4. As per the directives of Maharashtra state of technical education the college organized a digital India program and conducted quiz competition, elocution competition and arranged an expert lecture on effective use of digital technology to grow smart working culture. 

How does the curriculum of your college ensure the best practice of industry?

“The students get the early feel of the industry prior to the real industry exposure”

The curriculum of our college provided the best clinical and practice-based study and learning support. This along with the practical explanations, training exposure becomes a state-of-the-art learning hub for the students. The rules and compliances of the industry are best ensured through collective learning as well. Teachers should feel empowered and poised to take advantage of the many micro- or classroom-level practices that can assist them in learning about and cultivating relationships with their students.

What is your institute’s biggest strength?

“Letting students utilize life experiences for their coursework”

We focus on implementing technology to help track students’ progress and learning and also provide hands-on teaching-practice skills. We also organize networking events with our alumni who have started successful businesses. My goals and objectives are clear. The students know what is expected of them and what they need to do to succeed. Note-taking by students, assigning text questions. Review tests for practice in the session before the exam.

How do you help your student to cope up with the competitive environment? 

“Encouraging students to learn and enjoy education” 

Creating healthy competition in a lesson is a great way to motivate students and can encourage them to try harder. I also believe in setting goals for students so that they will be able to work hard to achieve them. I also take the time to get to know all my students, not just their names but their characters, strengths and weaknesses. This will help me in planning lessons that cater to all students as well as helping you create a better relationship with your class.

How does your department prepare students for higher education?

“Placement Cell at the college is the support provider which shapes the students to a brighter future”

Some of the greatest responsibilities of the college are embedded in the functioning of this department. The college arranges various workshops for students with the help of which students are given insights on the topics such as designing an impressive CV with the assistance of the latest tools and techniques, the use of different applications, etc.
