How does the curriculum of your department ensure the best practice of industry?

“We ensure to bridge the gap between institution and industry”

The chemistry department's curriculum is designed by the academic subject experts and the industry experts. They are working in a similar field to bridge the gap between the industry and institution and enable the students to become industry-ready. It will reduce the time, effort, and resources spent on the students at industries before dealing with the real projects. In the department's curriculum, we also included unique subjects for students who want to build their careers in academics and become a researcher.

What would you like people to know about your Department they may not know?

“Our research programs are top notch to help students attain practical knowledge”

We offer a Master of Science in two specializations, i.e., Organic and Analytical. In the Master's program curriculum, we include two particular subjects, i.e., Preparative Chemistry and Computational Chemistry Lab. Preparative chemistry is helpful to the students for the National eligibility test after the completion of the program to get the lectureship and be eligible for the junior research fellowship to carry out the research work. Computational Chemistry Lab is included to improve computer knowledge and solve real-life chemistry problems as most of the research work is done by computational chemistry. So, this is very helpful to the students.

What do you see as the Department’s greatest strengths?

“Our teachers and students form the backbone of our institution”

According to me, the Department's greatest strength is the Faculty members and non-teaching staff who have done all the work with full dedication. Moreover, Students are always the greatest strength of the Department.

What do you think should be the University’s top priority over the next 10 years?

“We want to be consistent with the efforts by putting our students first”

The University’s top priority over the next ten years should be to place students first and provide an inclusive and engaged living-learning environment where all students thrive and graduate as informed citizens. Also, to ensure a culture of continuous improvement and the efficient stewardship of university resources and infrastructure.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and the aspiring students?
