How do you tend to establish healthy relations with students and faculty?

“Building interactions and connections”

To establish healthy relations with the students and fellow faculty, the first thing I did was to increase my accessibility for everyone. I removed all the restrictions of meeting me. Our other faculties also adopted this trait of being accessible to everyone which made a very healthy relation with the students. We interact with the students to know about their problems as well which helps us to build a personal connection with every student. This way we have created a positive atmosphere in our college as well.

How do you try to bring in a practical approach towards subjects?

“Bringing relevant updates and advisory”

We conduct many seminars in our college where we invite many industrialists to take insights into what the requirements of the industry are and how to fulfill them. We have healthy discussions and meetings with top industrialists, experts and professionals who shape the syllabus in accordance with the industrial updates and trends. We prepare our students for the future ahead by helping students go for internships and training at various industries as well. Also, we have a top-class faculty who is up to date with the modern techniques and software relevant in the market.

How do you help your student to cope up with the high competition outside?

“Providing effective academics and encouragement”

The course curriculum in our college is designed in such a way that it becomes easy for the students to compete in the outside world. Starting from the first year, we prepare them for outside competition and coming to the final year, they become goal-oriented. Also, we call our pass-out students for the alumni meet to motivate our students and present before them a scenario of the outside world, which in turn boosts their confidence to participate and succeed.

How do you help your students to gain the necessary skills and exposure?

“Organizing events and activities that propel growth”

We have industrial tours for our students to expose them to the real world. We conduct many webinars to enhance their worldview and help them gain the necessary skills. We invite international trainers, industry professionals and motivational speakers for guiding and counseling the students. Also, we organize many events and sports activities to in-built sportsman spirit and confidence among students, so that they are all-rounders and not just academic players.

What challenges do you face to uplift the quality of education at your college?

“Introduction of modern technology and aids”

The world has become very Tech-oriented and it has become difficult to survive if you are not Tech-friendly. Senior faculty who are not very friendly with modern technology poses a challenge to us sometimes. But we try to engage them with our young faculty and the computer department so that they become used to modern technology and contribute to uplifting the quality of education in their respective departments. Also, we are trying our best to get the students who are interested in the research field and provide the necessary facilities.

What valuable advice would you give to the students to have a prosperous career?

“Explore the skill set apart from academics”

I believe that post-COVID time will lead us to a different world where we all have to re-organize ourselves in a way that we are able to fight the new challenges that come our way. Students will also have to take care of this and lead the generation as well. Only academics will not help you; learning new skills according to the needs of the market will make you successful in your career. Students generally ignore this skill development part but I would like to tell them that in today’s scenario and the time to come, this is going to play an important role in a successful career.
