How do you tend to establish healthy relations with the students?

“Interacting and communicating in a better way”

As you know College or University provides career oriented courses to the students that help them settle in their life. Personally I realised that a faculty or professor is a path finder for student goals and achievements. I start teaching to students from the very ground level, because all students do not have an equal IQ level for understanding contents delivered by me. In the class many students are not asking any questions for many reasons, so I also conduct 1-to-1 interaction sessions with the students to eliminate their hesitations and solve problems. I also made a very healthy and soft relationship with my students by treating them equally.

How do you try to bring in a practical approach towards subjects?

“Training and events with industrial partnerships”

Practical training is the most important part of every subject of Computer Science for students. We also create a bridge for fulfilling requirements between students and industries. We are conducting Ad-On and Short term courses on the latest technologies for students. Also, we are conducting Seminars and Webinars in the department on current technologies for students. We are also going for tie-ups and making partnerships with many organisations for career and industry oriented training. Time to time we are conducting Seminars and Webinars on the latest theme and current technologies for students for their interest and also to make them interact with industry experts and professionals.

What best practices do you offer to help students gain necessary skills?

“Relevant learning through online and offline modes”

We have always focused on Quality Driven Education since the establishment of the college. We are conducting both types of approaches to education like in campus classes and online classes. As per latest UGC guidelines, we have to provide education in a 40:60 ratio. This means, a syllabus of 40% should be completed through online education using different platforms like Google Meet and Zoom. And a syllabus of 60% should be completed through a classroom program on campus. This arrangement is also very useful for working students to continue their education. We also conduct industry visits and make interactions with experts to the students. We have created a Training and Placement Cell (TPC) in our departments as well as in the college that provide necessary training and improve skills of students as per organization’s demand. We are already in tie-ups with many training partners and agencies.

How do you strategize the curriculum to make it befitting for the students?

“Following a shift towards online platforms and digital learning”

We are providing many Job Oriented courses for students which helps getting jobs directly to them specially in the field of Computer and Management. Latest Computer Softwares, Laws, Theories and Facts are already included in respective courses and their syllabus, these all are helping students to meet industry requirements easily. Course curriculums are updated as per demand of the industry from time to time by the University. Classes are conducted in both mode online as well as offline-classroom programs. Now due to the pandemic we are going for strictly Online Education using YouTube Classes, Online Streaming, Live Classes and Online Notes using different dedicated Web Portals, Video Channels, Google Meet and Zoom apps. Students can achieve their classes and training from anywhere in the world, and can update and improve their knowledge and skills.

How do you help your student to cope up with the high competition outside?

“Skill enhancement through diversity of educational programs”

We have organized many skill development programs for students. We also provide Training, conducting Mock Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview that students can be aware of with the actual process of selection in Government and Private Sectors. We are conducting many Off-Beat training programs apart from the students’ syllabus curriculum. We have the NCC wing which helps students to learn discipline whereas the NSS wing helps students to know problems of social issues and how to find their solutions. We motivate students to do social work as well and have organized many workshops and awareness programs for poor people and villagers where they learn about good health, education, literacy, etc. We also conducted many vaccination programs associated with the State Government for Polio and Coronavirus Vaccination.

What approaches do you bring in apart from curriculum to train the students?

“Providing better education standards with alumni and training”

College alumni are invited to conduct special sessions for students to share their experiences in industry via our specialized Alumni Cell which belongs to many senior students, now working in many Government and Private Sectors at top notch posts. They talk with students and try to solve their problems as well as answer their questions related to jobs and entrepreneurship. Also, the college management conducted various orientation and development programs, and training workshops from time to time to improve their knowledge and interact with current industry standards.
