6.8 in MNNIT Allahabad isn’t a good CGPA. If you want to get placement offers you need to have a CGPA of around 7.5-8. Most recruiting companies visiting NMMIT placements have a CGPA requirement. Your graduation score will be crucial for pursuing higher studies as well. But if you are planning on having your own startup, your CGPA won’t matter much. You just need to focus on mastering the skills.
My cousin studied at MNNIT and he truly believed in utilizing his skills and potential at the college. If placement is your only goal then you might be disappointed. In the CS or IT departments, you'll have to present a CGPA of 7-7.5 to most recruiters. However, at times companies like Amazon and Direct-I keep it to a 5 because they see your pointer as well and know that even those with an 8.5 or more would be as good as you are in coding.
