The campus environment and placement facilities for CSE as it is the most important factor in any education field. The meritorious students can have a chance to get scholarships that is the performance of 1st year of engineering (CSE) at SMI as well as NMAMIT.

Faculty

Faculty of SMU have expertise in both research and development of new computational approaches although provide e-learning facilities for students under CSE.
There are 26 numbers of faculty in NMAMIT NITTE for CSE branches who have Ph.D. degree but their interactions with the students are good as far as SMU.

Admission

The admission criteria at these universities are purely based on academic records (50% marks in 10+2 science), KCET, and other national entrance scores matters for admission. Based on these criteria selection procedure is done through online/offline counseling.

MET exam and JEE Main scores are evaluated for each of the candidates applied for the respective courses.

The fee structure of SMU and NMAMIT, NITTE is about 3.05 lakhs for the general category and the payable amount for reserved category 1.82 lakhs per year.

The total intakes at SMU are 180 students and at NMAMIT, NITTE is 120 students.

In 2019, the closing rank at SMU was 41708 whereas, at NMAMIT, NITTE was 4134 for CSE.

Sikkim Manipal institute of technology of Manipal university is slightly better than NMAMIT NITTE because 80% of the students get placed every year through the placement process.
